Terms of Service

Core Functionality:

• Chiaki Bot is a Discord Bot Application operated mainly by slash commands, Chiaki Bot contains a variety of commands under multiple categories allowing users to not only use it for it's main Danganronpa category, but for other uses, such as moderation, logging and so on, it also features fun commands under the categories of Danganronpa, imagnes, and fun.
• The current command set is not final, as new commands will be added, and old ones will be improved upon
  • You may suggest anything you would like to see in Chiaki Bot to us via the Support Server

Service Availability

• Unfortunately, we can not guarantee a 100% uptime for Chiaki Bot, as I currently do not have funds to operate it on a reliable hosting service, thus I will be mainly self-hosting it and may host it sometimes on free tiers on some hosting websites, however these tiers offer poor specs so I will most likely be self-hosting it.
  • Chiaki Bot can also undergo maintence and updates which may result in brief downtime, however we will try to keep you updated in our Support Server
  • If you would like to help us maintain Chiaki Bot and get a proper hosting service, consider tipping us on Ko-fi!
• Due to what was mentioned previously, we can not be held liable for anything cause by Chiaki Bot's downtime.

• You may not attempt to crash, damage or exploit Chiaki Bot in anyway possible, this includes but is not limited to: Spamming commands, finding vulnerabilities in the code just to abuse it, etc.
  • If you come across an issue, please feel free to report it to us on our Support Server
• You may not use Chiaki Bot in any illegal manner, as in trying to distribute malware, scrape data or bypassing restrictions and limitations set by Discord or Server owners.
• You may not attempt to use Chiaki Bot to make anyone uncomfortable or harrass anyone.
• You may not use Chiaki Bot to break any of Discord's Terms of Service, you are required to abide by the platform's Terms of Service, which is Discord.

Breaking any of these terms, may result in a blacklist from using Chiaki Bot, and if it's used for illegal and malicious reasons, reports might be sent to Discord or other appropriate entities such as Law Enforcement, Primary Reporting Non-profits, etc.

• Chiaki Bot's code is available on its Github Repository
• You may use Chiaki Bot's code under the license mentioned in the Github Repository (PolyForm Noncommercial License)
• You are also allowed to Self-Host Chiaki Bot under previously mentioned license, which allows it for personal and noncommerical use, and use in servers that don't include monetization.
• The license applies ONLY to Chiaki Bot's code, Chiaki Bot's name and profile is that of a Character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, whose ownerships and rights fall under Spike Chunsoft, this is a non-profit, unofficial, fan-made project that uses the likeness of Chiaki Nanami from the previously mentioned game.

• In order for Chiaki Bot to operate, some data is stored and collected, however we do NOT have access to your real name, email, phone number or any real life personal data.
  • The only data stored by Chiaki Bot, is: User IDs when needed (not shared), Selected Channels IDs in commands such as (/set modlogs), Guild IDs when needed and User-Generated Content that is submitted by the user.
• We do not sell your data or share your data, and we will not use that data for any malicious purposes, all the data we retain is solely for: Debugging, Security Reasons (data from /report commands) and for the functionality of Chiaki Bot.
  • Your data is only accessiable to our Developer Team and no one else, and we will NOT shame anyone or share that data or attempt to use it in any malicious way.
  • Any data collected by Chiaki Bot is stored in a secure MongoDB Database, which they claim to prioritize security.
• Users may request removal of their data from most of our database.

• Server Owners may request removal of their server related data from most of our database.

• By using Chiaki Bot, you agree to our privacy policy, you will be able to find the full Privacy Policy on our website.

• Chiaki Bot is provided as is, and we do not provide any warranties over any service Chiaki Bot provides.
  • With that said, we will also try our best to make Chiaki Bot not cause problems or issue to anyones, so you wouldn't have to worry about that.
  • Since Chiaki Bot's code is available for view, if you fear that a command may result in issues, you may review it's code before running it, however it will most likely not, since we test our commands and code.
• We are not liable for any damages or data loss that Chiaki Bot causes.
  • We will try our best to make Chiaki Bot the best it can be and cause no damages, however mistakes might be made and we are a small entity, so far with a Developer Team of 1 person, so we can not cover any damages caused by mistakes even if we wanted to.
• Chiaki Bot is provided completely free of charge, due to that there is no financial liability held to us.

• We have the right to restrict Chiaki Bot's services from any user and refuse service for any server, via blacklists or similar manners.
  • We will not specify reasons here, however we will try to not restrict services for no reason, and be fair with our responsiblities, if you use Chiaki Bot with no malicious intent and no attempt to do anything wrong or inappropriate with it, you do not have to worry about this.
• If you get blacklisted, you will be restricted from running Chiaki Bot's commands, depending on the severity this will mostly not prevent you from using all commands, but in severe cases deemed severe by us, we are allowed to blacklist you from using all commands.
• If your data is not deleted from Chiaki Bot, you may request data deletion related to your User ID and account.

• We may modify these terms at any time if we deem it necessary.
• If there are any major changes in these terms, you will be able to view them via github repository history, and they will be properly announced in our Support Server.
• Using Chiaki Bot after changes occur to the terms of service, means you accept the new terms and you are willing to abide by them.

• "Us", "We", "Our": Refers to our Primary Develpoer Team, which you can see it's member on our Support Server.
• "I": Refers to the main Bot Developer and Maintainer, with the username @m7mdy9 on Discord.
• "Chiaki Bot", "Service": Refers to our Bot, Chiaki Nanami#1266
• "User", "You": Refers to the indivisual/entity that interacts with Chiaki Bot and uses its commands and services.
• "Server": Refers to a Discord Server/Guild that has invited the Discord Bot and is using its services and commands there.
• "Platform": Refers to Discord, and its APIs and Systems.
